Mumbai: Three men arrested in connection with the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have been sent on 48-hour transit remand and handed over to the Mumbai Police for further investigation.

The accused underwent medical examinations at MBS Hospital in Kota, Rajasthan, before being taken into custody by a Mumbai Police team. The suspects were reportedly apprehended at Kota railway station during a joint operation by the Mumbai and Rajasthan police after allegedly fleeing Mumbai following the shooting.

Three Accused Arrested in Joint Operation

The arrests came after investigators traced the suspects to Kota. According to reports, the three men were travelling by train when police intercepted them. They were subsequently produced before a court, which granted 48-hour transit remand to facilitate their transfer to Mumbai.

The Mumbai Police are expected to question the accused to establish their alleged roles in the shooting, identify the motive behind the attack and determine whether other individuals were involved.

Firing Outside Juhu Football Venue

The incident reportedly took place around 7 pm on Sunday, October 18, in Mumbai’s Juhu area, when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football venue. According to reports, three assailants arrived on a motorcycle and allegedly opened fire at the actor’s car before fleeing.

Tiger Shroff reportedly escaped serious injury, although he sustained minor injuries from shattered glass and gunpowder. His driver and another person were also reported to have been injured. Reports suggested that five to six rounds were fired during the attack.

Possible Gang Connection Under Investigation

The case has attracted further attention following social media posts purportedly claiming responsibility for the attack and threatening individuals associated with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The posts reportedly claimed links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

However, the authenticity of these claims and any possible gang connection remain subject to police investigation. Investigators are examining the available evidence to determine whether the shooting was linked to an organised criminal network or stemmed from another motive.

A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the incident, with the accused expected to face further questioning after their arrival in Mumbai.

The probe is now focused on uncovering the motive behind the firing, establishing the precise sequence of events and identifying anyone else who may have played a role in the attack.
