Adani Foundation Skill Initiative Helps Hazaribagh Youth Secure Jobs Across Sectors

Hazaribagh: Adani Foundation’s skill development programme under the Gondulpara Mining Project is creating new employment opportunities for project-affected youth, with several trainees securing jobs in both the private and public sectors after completing industry-oriented training.

According to the Foundation, 53 of the 510 candidates trained at the Adani Skill Development Centre under the Domestic Data Entry Operator and Assistant Electrician courses have been placed in private companies. The training programmes are designed to equip local youth with market-relevant skills and improve their employability.

The Foundation also reported success under its Beltforce training programme, where seven of the 40 trainees have secured government jobs, including opportunities in defence and other public services.

In a boost to women’s participation in technical fields, three women trainees successfully completed firefighting training, enhancing their skills and expanding their career prospects.

Employment support has also extended to other project-affected youth, with six candidates placed as security guards in Singrauli, while two others have been selected for specialised training at the National Defence University.

As part of its livelihood promotion initiatives, 20 candidates completed Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving courses and obtained driving licences, improving their prospects in the transport and logistics sector.

To further connect local youth with employers, the Foundation organised a job fair that attracted 405 participants, enabling job seekers to interact directly with recruiters from multiple companies.

The Adani Foundation said it will continue expanding skill development, employment-linked training and livelihood initiatives across project-affected villages, with the aim of promoting sustainable livelihoods, self-reliance and inclusive socio-economic development.
