Bokaro: Members of Sahityalok paid heartfelt tributes to noted litterateur and former general secretary Girija Nand Jha ‘Ardhanareshwar’ during the organization’s monthly literary gathering held in Sector 3-D on Sunday evening.

The Rachnagoshthi, chaired by senior litterateur Buddhinath Jha and hosted at the residence of poet Dr. Ranjit Kumar Jha, brought together writers, poets, educationists, and theatre personalities who presented poems, songs, articles, and satirical compositions.

The session began with a Swastivachan by Brajesh Jha. Sahityalok convener Aman Kumar Jha presented Maithili articles on Bokaro’s theatre culture and Sahityalok’s literary journey, highlighting the contributions of Ardhanareshwar to literature and education in Bokaro.

Poets and writers including Dhananjay Kumar Das, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Jha, Arun Pathak, and Vijay Shankar Mallick ‘Sudhapati’ recited literary works and tribute poems. Arun Pathak also highlighted environmental awareness through a nature-themed song.

During the presidential poetry session, Buddhinath Jha recited an emotional poem dedicated to Ardhanareshwar and remembered his enduring literary legacy. Senior litterateurs and educationists present at the event described his contribution to Bokaro’s literary and educational landscape as unforgettable.

The programme concluded with a two-minute silence and prayers for the peace of the departed soul.
