Chennai: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval revealed that India successfully struck nine targets in just 28 minutes during Operation Sindoor, thanks to cutting-edge indigenous technology.

Speaking at the 62nd Convocation of IIT Madras on Thursday, Doval credited systems like the BrahMos missile, integrated air command, and indigenous battlefield radars for the swift and precise cross-border operation.

Calling this era a rare moment in a “thousand years,” Doval urged the youth to seize the opportunity and steer India toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. “India has never had this kind of geopolitical advantage—demography, democracy, and determination all aligning,” he said.

He emphasized the need for young Indians to take the lead in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and the strategic use of rare earth minerals.

Highlighting the importance of technological warfare, Doval said, “All it took was one techie to break the German code in WWII. Today, India needs thousands.”

Encouraging IIT graduates to become technological warriors, he noted that India’s vast talent pool can fuel global innovation while safeguarding its civilizational and spiritual roots. Doval called for a national mission driven by the youth to develop homegrown solutions across sectors, from defense to digital infrastructure.
