Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited has inaugurated a new Technical Skills Training Centre at its facility in Bokaro, aimed at providing employees and trainees with practical exposure to industrial equipment, processes and workplace safety.

The centre was inaugurated on September 30 in the presence of Ravish Sharma, CEO & Whole-Time Director, ESL Steel Limited, and Prabhat Kumar, Director & State Head-CII Jharkhand, along with senior officials of the company.

Designed as an interactive and practical learning facility, the new centre features a range of technical displays, equipment and working models. Training modules cover tools and fasteners, electrical components, industrial valves, lifting tools, welding and gas cutting, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and safety practices.

The facility will provide trainees with hands-on learning opportunities and help them develop a better understanding of industrial equipment and operating processes. The initiative is also expected to improve technical knowledge, equipment-handling skills and awareness of workplace safety, said an official.

Speaking at the inauguration, Ravish Sharma said that technical excellence requires continuous learning and practical experience. He said the centre would provide a stronger environment for employees and trainees to understand industrial equipment and processes through hands-on exposure.

He further emphasised that investment in skill development and safety is essential for building a more capable and future-ready workforce.

The new Technical Skills Training Centre is part of ESL Steel’s broader focus on employee skill development, operational excellence and workplace safety. The facility is expected to serve as a dedicated platform where trainees and employees can learn, practise and strengthen their technical competencies through experiential training.
