Snehi Samaj Bokaro Hosts Colourful Sawan Mahotsav Celebration

Bokaro: Festive colours, music and laughter filled the air as Snehi Samaj, Bokaro, celebrated its Sawan Mahotsav with enthusiasm and gaiety, bringing women and children together for an evening of fun, cultural bonding and community spirit.

The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Smt. Sanju Devi Gupta, while Smt. Renu Sah, President of the Women’s Wing, conducted the programme.

Women took part enthusiastically in a variety of games, music and dance activities, creating a lively festive atmosphere. Special games for children added to the excitement, followed by a community dinner.

A large number of community members attended the celebration, including Sushma Kumari, Rita Kumari, Savita Kumari, Bhagyamani Devi, Babita Kumari, Shobha Gupta, Priyanka Gupta, Sonam Devi, Veena Gupta, Sanju Devi, Poonam Kumari, Indu Devi, Sunita Devi, Sangeeta Gupta, Shanti Gupta, Munni Devi, Mala Devi, Rekha Kumari, Sarita Gupta, Rekha Devi, Priti Kumari, Vinita Kumari, Menka Sahu, Saroj Devi, Nagina Devi, Pratibha Kumari and Pinky Kumari, among others.

Society President D. K. Sah, General Secretary Dharmendra Kumar and Treasurer Santosh Sahu, along with Ajit Bhagat, Amar Kumar, Sunil Kumar, R. D. Sah, Satyendra Sah, Arvind Kumar, Amitabh Kumar, Raj Gupta and others, played an active role in making the Sawan Mahotsav a success.

The celebration concluded on a warm note, reflecting the community’s spirit of togetherness, participation and cultural celebration.

Speaking on the ocassion, D. K. Sah said that the Sawan Mahotsav was not merely a festive celebration but also an opportunity to strengthen social bonding, harmony and cultural ties among community members. He said such programmes bring people closer, provide women and children a platform to participate and showcase their talents, and create a warm atmosphere of togetherness.

He added that Sawan symbolises joy, greenery and renewed energy in Indian cultural tradition, and events like these help preserve and promote that festive spirit. The celebration also offered community members an opportunity to interact, enjoy cultural activities and strengthen their sense of unity. D. K.
