News Desk: Swinburne University of Technology has announced the George Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship for the 2026-27 academic intake, offering a major financial boost to high-performing international students planning to study in Australia.

Under the scholarship program, eligible students enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus in Melbourne will receive a 30 per cent reduction in tuition fees for the entire standard duration of their course.

The university said the scholarship is aimed at recognising academic excellence and attracting talented students from across the world. The fee concession will apply from the commencement of the course until its completion.

According to the university, international students applying for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the first time in 2026 will be considered for the scholarship, provided they meet all admission and eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must fulfil all course-specific academic requirements to qualify for the scholarship. Students already receiving a Swinburne tuition fee scholarship or any other reduced-fee arrangement will not be eligible to hold multiple concessions simultaneously.

The university also clarified that candidates receiving tuition fee support from another organisation at the same time will not be allowed to combine benefits. However, where multiple scholarship options are available, the most favourable arrangement for the student will be granted.

Application Deadline

The final date to apply for the George Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship is June 26, 2026.

Meanwhile, students intending to commence their studies in 2027 will automatically be assessed for available international scholarships based on their previous academic performance. Successful candidates will receive scholarship details along with their admission offer letter.
