New Delhi: India’s flagship missile programme has hit a major financial and strategic milestone, with BrahMos Aerospace reporting revenues exceeding ₹5,200 crore for the financial year 2025–26, according to the Defence Research and Development Organisation.

Lucknow Unit Speeds Up Production

In an official update, DRDO noted that the newly established Lucknow production facility has already begun rolling out its first batch of BrahMos missiles—achieving operational output within just a year of launch. The development marks a significant boost to India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capacity.

Exports Touch ₹4,000 Crore

The joint venture is also strengthening its global footprint. DRDO revealed that BrahMos Aerospace secured export orders worth ₹4,000 crore during 2025–26, contributing meaningfully to India’s defence export push aligned with targets set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Meeting Military Demand on Schedule

Officials further stated that BrahMos Aerospace continues to meet the operational requirements of India’s armed forces within stipulated timelines, underlining its growing reliability and production efficiency.

The surge in revenue and exports signals India’s rising stature in the global defence market, with BrahMos emerging as a key pillar of the country’s strategic and industrial ambitions.
