Bokaro: A soulful evening of classical music and devotion unfolded at the Sector 4-D Shiv Hanuman Temple complex as the Shri Shri Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ji All India Music Conference drew music lovers in large numbers on Tuesday.

The event, coordinated by noted musician Pt. Bachhan Ji Maharaj, was inaugurated by educationist and litterateur Dr. R.N. Singh, who underscored the spiritual power of music. Calling it the simplest path to connect with the divine, he said music demands discipline and constant practice, while praising such platforms for nurturing talent and enriching Bokaro’s cultural landscape.

The highlight of the evening was a captivating classical recital by Abhinandan Pathak, a Gaya Gharana vocalist and music teacher from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Andaman & Nicobar. His Dhamar presentation in Raga Bihag left the audience spellbound, supported by an ensemble of skilled accompanists on tabla, mridangam, harmonium, and synthesizer.

A host of local and visiting artists added depth to the musical journey, delivering rich vocal and instrumental performances that kept the audience engaged throughout.

The programme was smoothly anchored by Shiv Charan Goswami, while organiser Pt. K.K.N. Tiwari delivered the vote of thanks. The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries and a large gathering of music enthusiasts, making it a memorable celebration of art, culture, and devotion.
