Skydiving Festival in Dumka: Jharkhand Set to Take Adventure Tourism to New Heights

Organised by the Jharkhand Tourism Department in collaboration with Sky High India, the festival will offer participants a rare opportunity to experience tandem skydives from an altitude of nearly 10,000 feet, guided by certified professional instructors. As participants descend through open skies, they will witness breathtaking panoramic views of Jharkhand’s dense forests, rolling terrain, and untouched natural beauty—adding a unique visual dimension to the thrill.

Officials said the event is being conducted with strict adherence to international safety standards, including pre-jump training sessions, advanced equipment checks, and expert supervision at every stage. The focus, they stressed, is not just on adventure but also on ensuring a safe and confidence-building experience for participants.

Encouraged by the strong response to its earlier edition, the state government has scaled up the festival significantly this year, both in terms of infrastructure and outreach. The initiative is part of Jharkhand’s broader tourism push under the theme “One State, Many Adventures,” aimed at diversifying its tourism portfolio beyond conventional attractions.
