Bokaro: In a unique initiative to promote community engagement and celebrate culinary diversity, Bokaro Steel Plant will organise its first-ever “Food Street” event on March 22, 2026 in Bokaro Steel City.

The one-day event will be held on the main road stretch from Gandhi Chowk to Bokaro Mall, where a vibrant lineup of food stalls, cultural ambience and entertainment activities will be set up for residents. The programme is scheduled to be formally inaugurated around 5 PM.

The event will feature a wide range of cuisines, offering visitors everything from traditional Jharkhand delicacies to popular dishes from across India. Officials say the initiative aims to reflect the multicultural character of Bokaro—often called “Mini India”—where people from different states live and work together.

Apart from attracting food lovers, the event will also provide a platform for local entrepreneurs and food vendors to showcase their culinary offerings. With festive décor, diverse flavours and a lively atmosphere, the Food Street is expected to become a major weekend attraction for families, youth and visitors across the city.
