Bokaro: Chinmaya Smiles Back has announced the 18th edition of its flagship Vidya Vritti scholarship, offering a golden opportunity to meritorious students from economically modest backgrounds seeking admission to Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro.

The scholarship supports two deserving students each year for Classes XI and XII, covering monthly tuition fees, uniforms and books. Selection is based on Class X academic performance and household income, with applicants required to meet admission eligibility criteria of the school.

Since its inception in 2009, the initiative has transformed the lives of 36 students — many of whom have gone on to build remarkable careers and now mentor the next generation of scholars.

Among its recent success stories is Akash Kumar, who has joined Intelliflo Fintech. Other notable alumni include Saurabh Bhagat, now serving as DSP in Bihar Police; Shweta Jha, Officer at UCO Bank; Richa Mitra with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh; Vimal Kumar in the Indian Air Force; Nitesh Kumar, an IGNOU Gold Medalist; and Shivani Mishra, currently pursuing studies at IIT Mumbai.

Chinmaya Smiles Back, a volunteer-driven charitable trust founded in 2009 by alumni of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, now comprises over 200 members contributing from across the globe. The Vidya Vritti selection committee includes designated members of the trust who evaluate applications on merit and need.

Interested students can apply through the designated online application form. Organisers have encouraged eligible candidates to apply at the earliest and reach out via the provided contact details for further information.
