New Delhi: In a fresh blow to household budgets, oil marketing companies have increased the prices of non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinders by ₹60 across major metropolitan cities, with the revised rates coming into effect from today.

According to Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has been raised from ₹853 to ₹913.

The new retail prices of domestic LPG cylinders in other metro cities are now ₹912.50 in Mumbai, ₹939 in Kolkata, and ₹928.50 in Chennai, reflecting the nationwide hike.

Alongside domestic cylinders, commercial LPG cylinder prices have also been increased by ₹115, impacting restaurants, hotels, and small businesses that rely heavily on LPG for daily operations.

Officials said the revised prices have already come into effect and will apply to all new purchases of LPG cylinders across the country.

The latest price revision is expected to add pressure on household expenses as well as business operating costs, particularly for the hospitality and food service sectors that depend on commercial LPG supplies.
