Khamenei’s Body Recovered After Iran Strikes, Photo Shown to Trump & Netanyahu

News Desk: In a dramatic escalation of tensions in West Asia, reports have emerged that the body of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was recovered from the debris of his Tehran compound following coordinated US–Israeli airstrikes.

Israeli media outlets, including Channel 12, reported that a photograph purportedly showing Khamenei’s body was presented to former US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The claims were attributed to unnamed Israeli officials. Public broadcaster Kan also cited senior sources saying the Iranian leader had been “eliminated” and that his body was recovered from the rubble of his official residence.

Iranian state media later confirmed Khamenei’s death, along with several members of his family, including his daughter, grandchild, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law. The strikes, which began early Saturday, also reportedly killed Iran’s Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Mohammad Pakpour.

Strikes Target Leadership Core

The high-intensity bombardment marked one of the most significant military operations in the region in recent years. Multiple strategic sites across Iran were targeted, including Khamenei’s heavily fortified compound in Tehran, which also served as his official residence.

Satellite imagery circulating after the operation showed extensive structural damage to the complex. Israeli officials claimed the compound was completely destroyed during the strikes, fueling speculation about the Supreme Leader’s fate even before formal confirmation.

Trump and Netanyahu React

In a post on Truth Social, Trump declared that Khamenei was dead, describing the operation as “justice” for those affected by his decades-long rule and stating it was conducted in coordination with Israel. Netanyahu, while initially cautious, said there were “strong indications” that Iran’s top leader was no longer alive following the assault.

Despite early reluctance to release direct evidence publicly, confirmation from Iranian state television later put an end to speculation surrounding the 86-year-old leader, who had ruled Iran since 1989.
