Patna:
The high-pitched campaign for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections ended on Sunday evening, bringing to a close weeks of intense political rallies, roadshows, and fiery exchanges. As the clock ticked down to the November 11 polling, candidates and party workers shifted gears to door-to-door outreach in a last-minute attempt to sway voters.

A total of 122 constituencies across 20 districts will go to the polls in this decisive round, with more than 1,300 candidates in the fray. The atmosphere remained charged through the final hours as top leaders from major alliances crisscrossed Bihar, holding marathon rallies and targeting key swing seats.

The campaign saw star leaders from both the ruling and opposition camps addressing back-to-back meetings, promising development, job creation, and better governance, while trading sharp political jabs. As public rallies drew to a close, ground workers intensified booth-level coordination and personal voter contact — a strategy both camps hope will make the crucial difference on polling day.

With the model code of conduct now fully in effect, parties have been ordered to halt all public canvassing. Election officials have tightened security at sensitive booths and finalized logistics for Tuesday’s voting, which will decide the remaining 122 of the 243 assembly seats.

Observers say this phase could be a make-or-break battle for both alliances, determining who gains the upper hand when results are declared on November 14.
