University of Leeds Launches International Excellence Scholarship for Indian Students

UK: The University of Leeds (UoL) has announced the International Excellence Scholarship 2026, offering up to 50% tuition fee reduction to exceptional international students, including those from India. A total of 500 merit-based awards are available for outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, reflecting the University’s commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and global engagement.

The scholarship targets high-achieving students with proven academic records, leadership potential, and a drive to contribute to the University’s vibrant community. Awards range from £3,000 to £16,000, providing substantial financial support for students pursuing master’s programs. (Note: Leeds MBA and online courses are not eligible.)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be an international fee-paying student

• Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a master’s program starting September 2026

• Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential

• Scholarships awarded purely on merit

Application Deadlines:

• Round One: 27 February 2026 (Notification by 27 March 2026)

• Round Two: 15 May 2026 (Notification by 12 June 2026)

Applicants must first apply for their chosen master’s course and then complete the scholarship application online. Early applications are encouraged, as awards may be allocated before deadlines.
