Bokaro: Dinesh Kumar Sah has been elected President of Snehi Samaj, securing victory over his opponent, Ramchandra Prasad Kesari, by a margin of 27 votes. The election, held during the organization’s general meeting at the Sector 5 Library Ground, saw a total of 154 votes cast, with Sah receiving 90 votes and Kesari garnering 63. One vote was declared invalid.

In other key results, Dharmendra Kumar was elected unopposed as General Secretary, while Santosh Kumar Sahu was chosen Treasurer without contest. Their unopposed victories were widely viewed as a reflection of the organization’s internal harmony and cooperative ethos.

A three-member committee, comprising Shankar Sah, Suryakant Gupta, and Shyamsundar Sah, was tasked with overseeing the electoral process to ensure transparency and fairness throughout.

Significant resolutions were also passed during the meeting to further strengthen democratic functioning within the organization. It was unanimously decided that elections will now be held on a biennial basis. Additionally, in an effort to encourage new leadership, a rule was adopted limiting office bearers to a maximum of two consecutive terms.

The election was hailed as a major step forward in promoting democratic values and fostering collaborative leadership within Snehi Samaj.
